Lindsay Tilley a good friend and work colleague from Carlsberg brewery in Northampton sent us the following news.
We raised £1346 in total, at the Christmas raffle (which Jodie used to look after) we offered Darran Britton, Marketing director’s services as a tea boy, as you can imagine he was much in demand with many rival departments all bidding! He was eventually sold for £190! All the other departments who lost donated their collection to the fund – people were really generous.
We also sent a collection around the business which helped boost our total this together with charity matching got us to our grand total.
At the raffle a number of people donated their prizes to Jodie so we sent some signed goodies (darts shirt, rugby ball) onto Samantha Dickson as I thought they would probably be able to make more money from them than we could.
Jodie was really popular, the lengths to which people dug deep showed that – she meant a lot to us all.
We have heard some whisperings today from one of Jodie’s friends who may be doing something extra special as a fundraising event – we will keep you posted when its confirmed.
